Great start! I like the theme with two tables flanking the door way. I like what you have done with the chair and decor on the right. The issue is in scale for the table to the left. A larger table great for buffet function for the dining room with larger art to fill the space is appropriate and balanced. Best wishes!

Instead of the table on the left ((the one without the mirror) I would substitute a low bookcase with a large painting over it. That will give a warmer, more personal look to this area instead of the two tables, one of which doesn't really seem to have a function.

I would remove the chair next to the table with the mirror. On the other wall, i would remove the table and replace it with a large upholstered bench with some large art above it.

It's not necessarily redundant, but the two walls are out of balance. The right side has too much visual weight, the left side not enough. That mirror is really too large for the table beneath it. I'd probably keep both tables, and simply restyle them.

An ottoman or two here might be a good idea to replace the chair, assuming you could use seating here.

Don’t you love Electricians that locate switch boxes in the center of walls? This looks like a second floor walkway? If so, use the wall with the switch and wall to the left for an interesting “gallery” display location. I agree with groveraxle’s points on balance. Does the mirror reflect a chandelier in dining room? Just seems like an odd spot for a mirror. Is this an entry? I would like a rough sketch of the whole space to make better recommendations.

I agree - the areas are out of balance. You could try switching the tables, so the

smaller table is beside the chair, and the larger heavier table by itself.

You could also try the mirror on the left (by itself), but it would cover the light switch?

I would play around with the pieces and post back. btw the little picture above the left table is too small. Do like the chair in the corner, just need a pillow and maybe a throw.
