Since you are replacing windows, are you willing to eliminate the taller kitchen window, replace with a new counter height one, or put in one wider window on the back wall? What is the exterior of your home? It looks like that window area is not having maximized use so doing window configuration that allows effective layout use there will give you room for a better layout.

Do you want an island with seating? Is the wall between the kitchen and dining room load bearing.

Would love a big window looking over back yard. Can change anything. Get rid of long window. The wall next to dinning room is not load barring. The wall between kitchen and living room is a load barring wall. No table in kitchen. Have a small island now. Maybe seating at island if possible. Or possible peninsula between kitchen and dinning room with counter seating.

Make it a galley kitchen if open up the wall and since you’re replacing the window with two, one on each side you can have the range in the center with a hood. Opposite the kitchen you can have pantry cabinets and place the fridge there or just remove the window, have a full lined kitchen with pantry and fridge on the left side base cabinet, centered range and more base cabinets along that line. For your island you can have the sink placed there and more storage and the opposite side of wall pantry cabinets. Oh you can always have small transom windows installed where the hood would go.

I would remove the wall between the DR and kitchen and close the entry to the LR from the kitchen that would free up that whole wall for fridge, pullout pantries to handle a huge amount of really nice storage. Please go with a counter depth fridge or with that wall using deep pullout pantries to make your fridge look builtin. I would do the big window but no have the sink under it but closer to the fridge. That counter between the DR and the kitchen could possibly have some space for stools but that will depend on the ability to move that to allow for a bigger DR and a bit smaller more efficient kitchen. I would reconfigure the windows so that the stove could be on the outside wall with an awesome hood above vented properly. That would then make it possible to have a nice u shaped efficient kitchen that looks great.Properly designed this will have more storage and counter than you can imagine and when you move that DR wall it will also open up the entry into the LR so I don’t think you will miss that doorway.Of course with that wall moved 2 feet it will also make the u shaped kitchen more functional

Sorry posted original floor plans. Previous owners took out pantry. So I don’t have a pantry on that wall. It is empty and has a half wall.
