bathroom remodel

Just to explain the pictures- the first photo is the floor plan without the wall in the bathroom. In the photos of how it is currently, you walk in and see the vanity straight ahead. To your right is the only closet. To your left is the tub and shower(pictured). If you step further into the bathroom, to your left past the shower wall is the toilet room. I am thinking about removing the walls of the toilet room and shower, which would leave me with the approximate floor plan in the first photo. Currently thinking of setup in the bathroom after removing the wall. I would really like double sinks and large closet. Would also love a large tub, but I’m thinking a walk-in shower would be more appropriate for the space. Let me know what your thoughts are or if this doesn’t make sense!

This is a better representation of how the bathroom is setup right now. The measurements are not 100% accurate, just approximate.

I apologize, that last one is not formatted right—

I think I am missing something. On the picture, it looks like you have a window opposite to the tub but on the floor plan it shows that there is a room on the other side.

Also on the picture the toilet is facing a wall but on the floor plan it is facing a double door. Can you clarify that for me?

Also, would consider to move the toilet into another location?

One more question, since you said that the closet is on the right when you enter, is it where you show the double doors on your floor plan? Looking at room 2, is it a closet for linen etc. or is it your clothes closet?

Oh wow. Thanks for pointing that out, it was a mistake on my part! Room 9 is the master. There is a doorway leading into the bathroom. The other door leads into a small hall, you come out facing room 2, which is the half bath. The toilet in the master bathroom does in fact face the door, it is a weird, long and narrow toilet room. That would be taken out, along with the wall around the shower. The double doors on the right when you enter is the only closet for clothing. As I said, the measurements are approximate, not 100% accurate. Thanks!

    One more question:

If you can put the area part of the bedroom/bathroom .i.e. put a wall on the right side of the red circle, it would offer more options on the layout of the your master bathroom.

I agree with Debbie. You need graph paper. If each square is 6 inches, you could give a better approximation of your layout. A lot of this layout you have drawn is too inaccurate. Show adjoining rooms, hallways, closets and powder room etc....

Right now the pictures you show do not line up with the layout.

This is one idea but I don't know if is this realistic unless I know the measurements:

Thanks for the advice, I will see about getting graph paper. This app works pretty well, but you are right that I needs exact measurements I will post again soon with a more realistic sketch.

Suzanne, I do like your idea. My only issue with it is that it turns out half bath into a shower. And I don’t love the idea of walking through my closet to get to the bathroom. But keep the ideas coming!

If you are ok with a reach-in closet, you can have a more spacious bathroom and your bathroom is more private as it cannot be accessed from the hallway:
