There are two chairs facing away from the tv. Is this were you watch tv? If so, it should probably go somewhere else in the room so that the seating makes viewing possible. Then, I would turn the dining table the other way. But I think a photo of the entire room would be helpful so comments can benefit the entire space. It's not really just a wall problem, but a furniture arrangement puzzle.

I usually don't recommend art surrounding a TV (I find it a bit distracting), but in your case I think it could work. I would strive to keep things symmetrical to avoid a cluttered look.

I would remove the decorative piece that is on top of your bookcase and turn it upside down and put it over the tv. Then I'd try to introduce some color other than beige and brown.

I notice that Grover has removed the striped chair which was in the corner and move the media stand over. Nice look!

The dining chairs…put them all around the table.

Thanks for the ideas so far - they are great! I like the idea of the pictures A LOT, but once I saw what Grover did it seems to really pop. Since the TV is attached to the wall I would need to go with the 1st one, and, as much as I love the slipper chair, there is just no use for it in this room. JudyG, you are right, I just hate the table being cramped and I don't want to put the leaf in (lol)

Grover's solution is attractive and attractively easy to do! I'd go that route.

Ok, dyliane, so I started putting some serious thought into your suggestion to flip the room. I would use the bookcases as an entertainment center. The issue is that they are 4 separate bookcases that are too narrow for the TV so there would have to be some "cutting and pasting". Since these are simple Sauder bookcases I don't feel too bad about doing that, but I also don't know how well they will take it.

is it possible to remove the two section above the cabinet doors? will be a good place to put the tv. I think the tv should fit

dyliane that is what I want to try - the 4 blocks above the cabinets and then raise the top shelves to be above the TV. I will have to cut out the sides of both of the middle bookcases to do that, though, while still keeping up the top shelves and the top of the units. Not sure if it will work. . .

What about moving all the bookcases to the opposite wall where the tv is, then use that wall for the tv and turn your seating to face the tv.

Unfortunately, espc10, then we would run into blocking the back door :(

Wow celerygirl, I am really liking the 4 pics on each side. It fills the whole wall without looking cluttered or being a distraction from the TV! but now I see how much my rug and furniture are off-centered! Need to do some re-positioning!
