Don't expect Danaus butterfiies to take any interest in it.

(In captivity they likely would eat it, given no alternative.)

I looked it up, and pearl milkweed seems to be a Texas native. If you live in Texas, maybe you can find some seed pods later this year. There are several other types of milkweed vines you can buy online, if you're interested, Matelea and Cynanchum.

Hi Sherry, Thanks for the info. I'm in the Midwest...NE Missouri. If I'm lucky enough to find seeds for this and get them growing, it will be an annual for me. That's okay, though, as I am a big seed saver and I have other Milkweeds that are considered annuals in our region also. I'll keep looking!

I have it; it is dormant right now, but will come back from the roots. I didn't save seeds last year. Perhaps if you post on the Texas Garden Forum someone there will have seeds to offer.
