My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.
Sorry I did not see the part about cutting the rod to 84". You have another option buy the 96" and then cut. Both rods come in two pieces so you must cut from outer ends to keep a good joint at the splice. You cover the rods with masking tape where you make the cut and the finial will cover a crooked cut if the cut is not perfectly straight.
