I need to decide what size table to put in my eat in area. We have to let the builder know where to place the hole for the light. I fell in love with a 76 inch long table, but once I marked it out I thought having it covering the doorway would bug me. So, we decided to mark out a 60 inch table. In both mock ups we allowed for 36 inches around all sides. The first picture is the 76 inch table, and the second is the 60 inch table. Also, I have included pictures of what the space looks like finished. Our office is on the other side of the doorway. As you can see it’s open concept. Thoughts? I want a rectangle table because I feel it looks better visually.
