Is the living room formal where no one sits in it to watch tv and lounge ? If it formal , make the room a den were you can sit and read and watch tv. What style of furniture do you like ?

I say high bookshelves filled with books and photos etc., even over the switch and outlet (move them around the corner, or keep the bookshelf out three inches) , and a lounge chaise in front of the windows for reading..but still need more info from the poster..
