What color appliances and hardware?

I think you should look at families of lights, so you can have coordinating ones in other areas. I personally don't like the look of bare bulbs other than candle light types.

Depends on hardware, plumbing fixtures, other colors... I love copper the most, but...

Well...looking at all these posted photos demonstrates the design challenges:

--Is the lighting to be downlight task lighting for working or general accent lighting as a decorative feature?

--Do you want to pendants to be strong visual objects or to be as transparent and invisible as possible?

--Are you concerned about matching or contrasting finishes?

--Do you have other important criteria?

Answer these questions and you will be on your way to a direction to use for searching for samples.
