I don't monitor it much, but yes, A/C does dehumidify to some extent also.

I have a little digital clock/weather station that measures indoor humidity. You might get something like that for yourself. I find it very useful.

We have not been running any A/C and humidity was around 70%. I've been running our dehumidifier to lower it to about 50%. I prefer lower humidity.

Our A/C does lower the humidity in the house when we run it, but it's wall units, not central air.

I wonder if 50% is an avg preset, if there's no way to adjust it? it prolly should be somewhere in the specs which I don't have.

I am not sure, but if the fan is on and a/c is on maintaining the set temp will it dehumidify if the temp does not change, but fan is running?...

it's been around 70% outside here too. I open the balcony door often, so it prolly rises higher indoors a little.

I found this bit of info:

It takes about a half hour for an AC unit to effectively remove moisture from your home. If the unit shuts off before this point, you’ll notice no difference in the humidity levels of your home. A unit that runs constantly will pull moisture from the air. If your unit runs fairly often, then you generally will not need a dehumidifier.

I haven't paid attention how long the a/c runs. it's been another very warm winter here: just a few nights at 55F, a couple at 50F, but mostly in the 60s and now will be 68-70F, at night! super warm.

definitely a z11a temps! actually even 12! more like 12a going on 12b! second winter like that.
