Are you planning to add drapery panels to the windows at the fireplace?

I wasn’t planning on it I thought because the windows were so close the wall corners that curtains would look weird?

Am I mistaken to think long curtains would not look good on those smaller windows?

Even though they’re off to the side and not centered on the wall? Because otherwise it would be nice to have them I think. id probably get ride of the dark grey ones on the big window and put all sheer white? What do we think? And then tall plants on either side of the fireplace? Not frames eh?

I looked again today. I like Beth's lighter shade on fp wall - it seems a color in the stone, and natural option then.

Might not matter if you add another layer on fp windows - come in a few neutrals:

Cause of nearby gloss white console, and fresh that white is... what about a dusty coral or accent color, if combined with subtle blend with new curtains on other? could even go toward clay/ salmon/ natural/ cream-linen curtain

Idea if chrome legs or satin-cool around LR/ kitchen is a look you'd like a bit more of... and maybe with a bit of color on windows.

Wood tables would work - I noticed your earthy rug - to further that, and the warms.... displayed with a plant on top:

And if you add something more to fp's windows, the empty space nearer fp can have table/lamps sets.... or you said art or was it plants... and that should take care of it.... ? :)

Andie, I hadn't yet read your Tuesday comment about curtains in the corner... I have tried to save time and money all life, and so I have had someone hold up a sheet to simulate a curtain, or used tacks usually. My thought was that with that extra corner fabric, it might look off-balance for the fp and empty spots…. and so your art there, or whatever is well worth the try. :)

If not the tidy/smaller 2nd layer of roman shades, and you use curtains: frames might be 'too filling' and so plants on stands, or lamps maybe.

I saw a 'rough' wood planter near tv, nice.... so a slightly distressed/aged table could work, and in a soft red from your sofa throw?

So... we live at home and jumper is good, maybe 1 substantial planter just on opposite side of jumper... or a tall snake plant with enough mass to sort of match fp's presence... and not a few small ones.

Seeing your skis though, I thought a planter or endtable/lamp thing could add to them in any earthy brown color wood or other [maybe place them together].

I bet the baby in the jumper makes the entire room come alive :) Would not worry about too much decorating until baby is older...plants you worry about poison or stickers, some furnishings are also not baby friendly for exploring or pulling little hands when they are starting to walk. If it was me, I would go with big fluffy pillows and throws for now.
