Your best bet would be any larger retail garden center in your area or even the box stores. These are not uncommon plants and most larger local vendors should have them available in season.

Also, next to impossible to find by mail order that large and forget no shipping charge if by mail!!

Well I found them that big online quite quickly and also have purchased many (I have about 25 of them so far) from my local nursery. I also find quite often, in fact most of the time, with an order over a certain amount (about $150 from the two sites I was looking at today before I posted this) they will offer free shipping. One site had 6 plants for $179 with free shipping, but smaller plants. The other site wanted $400 for 10 3 gallon plants with free shipping. So no deal cuz the plants are $40 a piece. With no bulk deal I will just go to my local nursery and drive home with them. I just thought I might find somewhere that would give me a "bulk" price and figured a discussion might lead me to some other sources.

So (I am not sure) did you buy or not? Do not be in a hurry as they will be dormant... not growing above the ground, only a little below. Are you going to make a hedge?

Unless something was truely better mailorder, for shrubs, I would prefer to buy in person and ~cherry pick~ the best of the bunch (pot relative size to stems, form, etc). IB is a pretty common hydra. so one could inquire with the nursery of their choice.

Sooner Plant Farm has them in 1, 2, 3, 5 and 7-gallon sizes, and I believe I’ve gotten free shipping on past orders from them over a certain price (maybe $100 but I’m not sure.) Not all the sizes are currently in stock so you’ll have to take a look.

Their prices are higher than what you’re going to find locally, but they’re an excellent company deal with and the plants are always in good shape and well packed.

I just checked Oriental Garden Supply, which is another very well regarded mail order source. They have Incrediball at $45 for a 3-gal compared to $75 at Sooner, but I’m not sure of the shipping cost at OGS.

of course they will be dormant. They dont even ship till spring. they would die enroute. I get them for $45 for 3 gallons locally so I will probably just go that route. Just thought I might find a deal, guess not. Thanks for the replies.
