Dehumidify Entire Home Through Basement?
I am looking ahead to the spring and thinking of getting a stand alone dehumidifier that is supposed to be able to do up to a 3500 sqft space (70 pints/day). I was thinking of putting this in my basement set to continuously drain. I would then keep my variable speed fan set to on (when no AC is needed) to keep air circulating throughout the entire house. Since I have a return and two supplies in my basement (pressure is positive) do you guys think this would do an effective job of keeping my whole house dehumidified since the fan would be circulating air throughout the house including the basement? Anyone try this with success?

It doesn’t get too humid here in the spring/fall (northern IL) but it can occasionally creep up and I am looking to keep RH under 50% on nonload AC days.
