Will you have to conform to new code requirements if you replace the vanity? That is, in some areas there's a minimum code-required distance between toilet and a vanity, tub or wall. Some existing arrangements are grandfathered in.

Thanks for info. Looks like you can choose whatever you like for a new sink and vanity. For easy maintenance, look at one-piece vitreous china sinks. Your tile work is beautiful.

I'd look at using a patterned opaque window film (white or stained-glass look) on the windows if you want to ditch the blinds. Or look at vinyl shower window curtains (amazon has lots) or use a vinyl shower curtain cut to fit the window (slightly longer than the sill to shed water).

Try a deep brownish purple on a foamcore board. Or find some new deep colored towels you like. Dark forest green, dark blue, dark purple.

Your bathroom is nice, if possible change the door, so it will swing to the outside. This will give you more room inside. I would go "mediteranien". I know you said you like dark colors, but I would paint everything white to open up the space. Go for a white vanity with a nice porcelan sink, maybe a round one. If possible change the curtain to glass, remove the blinds and cover the windowglass with a frosted self-adhesive sheet. Keep the mirror and if it's in your budget, get matching fittings in bronze, or, if you like it more modern, in black with a black mirror. Good luck
