I think that your variegation will continue as the leaves mature ...

You have a nice mosaic variegation on your plant - but right now - it doesn't get enough light. Find a brighter spot for it and yes - the variegation of this type - shows the best on mature leaves.

Tinted windows can eat up most of the light.....

I struggled with the decision to tint the windows since I knew it would impact my plants-I think only 20% of visible light gets through. But it was unbearable in the morning with the sun blazing in so we had to do it. Plus this has been the gloomiest winter we have had in a long time! I will find it better lighting, thank you to everyone who responded!

Tinted windows filter out specific light waves that AV's need. You have to supplement with artificial light to 'put it back' or else the plants will not perform at 100%. I know because I struggled here on the west coast of Florida, plenty of light but all my windows are tinted. I finally added some LED lights and what a difference! Tinted windows also interfere with WiFi signals as the metal in the tinting stops the broadcast signal, :)

Good to know! I have a handful of east windows that are not tinted, my hoyas are currently hogging them but perhaps when we get more into spring i will swap some out for my AV’s. Thank you for everyone’s input!

Also I believe a violet needs cooler temps to show off their variegation? I know mine look prettier when grown cooler. Just a hunch. Rosie

Ok, my temps range from around 62 (night) - 68 degrees (day) where I keep them, hopefully that will help!
