We're expecting more rain too, although nothing like yours, but grateful for every little bit. As you know we "steal" a lot of water from you northerners, but with the Sierra snowpack being very hefty this winter you hopefully will not feel the loss.

Yup, we are under a flood watch for the next couple of days. It has been below freezing here for the past few weeks. My poor birds have had ice in their birdbaths and fountains that they bathe in, early in the morning. I keep putting the covers on my citrus only to take them off again every couple of days due to the rain. No gripes as we need the water.

It has been raining hard here today, from at least 4AM till now (12:45PM), without stopping even for a minute, and it is not looking like it is planning on stopping anytime soon. My cats are annoyed, because it has been raining so much lately they have not been getting out for their usually once a day walk (on leashes). Every time I go out, one or more of them is right at the door, crying to go out. This morning one of them snuck past me as I went out (umbrella, long raincoat, & boots) to get the paper. She ran down the (covered) backstairs, but then froze in front of the sheets of water that were coming down, looking me as if to say "WHAT is this?". She turned around and ran back up the stairs voluntarily.
