My trees will go out end of April at the latest.

Minimum safe exit 2 months for me. they'll spend 6 month inside this year.

If I’m lucky mid March - early April....can’t wait either!! Where are you located? Oh and mine went in mid November last year bc it was unusually warm.

Mine usually go out mid-March. Can hardly wait! Praying I can get them out before then.

So tired of having them in.

I'm in no hurry, no problems lately, and they are all growing and/or blooming under lights, seem fairly happy. Probably not going out until May to prevent any setback

Starting in April, some will probably go out and then in during cold spells, then out again. Sigh.

I will move a couple of trees for acclimation at a time. My trees must be outside by may first. Vacation then and they can't be inside.

Laura, I am in NJ/Zone 7. (coastal+urban heat island) Usually, mid March is good to go. They are overwintered quite COLD, so once they go out, it's not that big a transition..., and they will be wind protected and in FULL SUN. If they were in my house, it would be different as there would be new growth unacclimated to the relative cold. I have never lost a Citrus to cold.

My citrus will probably go out next month. I've been bringing them in/out all winter long, which makes them, and me, healthier I think. Our 10-day forecast looks like mostly mid 60's/40's. Looking forward to letting them stay out for a longer periods now. Cold snaps are usually short here, so I've only had to water my citrus inside just once this winter thank goodness (watering them inside is a chore I don't like too much). The [Buckets of PT[(https://www.houzz.com/discussions/handeling-buckets-of-poncirus-dsvw-vd~5553898) given to me by a friend have stayed outside all winter (haven't separated them yet - still trying to figure out what to do with them all, lol).

Ha, I have a couple of pots of flying dragon seedlings that look like less-crowded versions of your buckets.

I am aiming for mid-April, which is generally the "last frost date" timeframe here (even if we have warm spells before then and occasional cold spells after). Last March we had 20" of freak snow (more than what we had during that season's "winter months") so need to be realistic and watch the long range forecasts.

I just put out all my trees today that were in my sunroom except for my Meyer lemon. For the next 10 days the lows are going to range from 43* to low 60s*. I found signs of pests so with the rain on and off maybe Mother Nature will take care of them for me. I don't anticipate them being out for the rest of the winter, but I will take whatever I can get as I am tired of them being inside just like the rest of you.

I always have a tough time figuring out the weather and my citrus. The smaller ones I may move in,/out a lot, but the bigger plants get to wait longer. No scale to deal with this year, so I'm in no hurry, actually. Now that I've said that, the pests will probably kick into high gear and make me take it back.

Mike, we have termites, fire ants, lots of insects I have never seen before and high humidity. Are you sure you want to deal with those things?

Mike, I have a 4 year old and I dream of the day he goes off to college. I will be out of here no later than one week after him but until then I wait for overnight temps that consistently hit 40 and take the citrus out. I wait for overnight temps in the high 50's for the others.

So, you're going to put your 4 year old out when the temps hit 40 lows at night? :)

As far as plants, I usually wait till it's safe, because I don't like to lug them in and out and weather has been so erratic that last year it might have been late April or May (despite z7) and I have been the one to have big losses because it got 4-6 degrees colder than forecast :(

I really should stop complaining about not getting hot enough for grapefruit, huh?

lololol I was once in Puerto Rico sitting on a porch when we had a down pour. Guess what landed on my bare chest at 9 o'clock at night while I was having a drink? I nearly screamed my head off. These critters freak me out, worst tha spiders.
