I like the layout graphed (attached picture). My spouse prefers the exercise equipment where the play area is drawn. But then where would the play area be? Is there a better layout we haven’t thought of? Suggestions please.

On graph play area is surrounded by wall storage cabinets and in the north side of the basement by the stairs. The kitchenette is the west wall. The sofa area is east with a television on the east wall over shorter matching wall storage cabinets. The south wall is double French doors that lead to a walk out patio and backyard.
Both the treadmill and bow flex fold up against the wall when not in use. So they will not block the flow around the table so bad.
