Transplanting Spring Bulbs

last modified: 7 years ago

In the next week or 2, I will be planting some largish shrubs that are in pot and going in dirt. The hole sizes will be pretty big and I know I will be disturbing quite a bit of surrounding dirt as well..

There are bulbs in this area.

Do you think the bulbs will survive a transplant or not, depending on how many roots come up attached with the bulbs. I'm not expecting much of anything to come out of transplanting the bulbs (tulips and it is what it is ) and I do want to get these shrubs in before they break dormancy.
