What's fascinating is the page for Revotec. It states it is pet proof and water proof and scratch proof and heat proof. But when you read all of the links above, there is nothing unusual about this product. It has the SAME requirements for pets (wipe up issues quickly; staining is unlikely but nothing mentioned about odour) as every other vinyl floor. It mentions water proof but it is ONLY surface spills. It has nothing to do with flooding or large leaks (again, identical to all other vinyl plank/tile products). Scratch resistance is normal. Nothing better and nothing worse than any other vinyl with a 20mil wear layer. Nothing different. And the HEAT resistance part is the most interesting....it has ALL the same restrictions as LVP from Lowe's or Home Depot. There is NOTHING unusual about this vinyl. Nothing.

If you like the visuals, then go for it....but realize there is nothing "special" about this product. The claims they make on the website have caveats...each and every one of them. The 'heat resistance' is the one that irritates me most. These floors have the same heat/UV/direct sunlight criteria as any other vinyl on the market....it cannot exceed 85 F. This is absolutely normal when compared to all other vinyl products.

Hi SJ. Thanks! Yes, there is nothing special ab this product - at least not that we can tell. We were concerned it is an inferior product compared w brands like COREtec. We don't want to have to deal w issues after install.

As I just posted on another thread, I called Revotec and the rep said that samples can only be obtained from the dealer, who has to call to order them; even though there is a "samples" option on their voice system. In my experience so far, when a dealer is involved, the price goes way up. I think that's why many of us are drawn to the Flooret Modin and Supercore business models; no middleman. Let me know if you learn more about Revotec. I do like the idea of a tile-look option for my entire house because I think it may look more realistic than the wood-plank look (as long as the tile isn't slippery; for my Mini-Schnauzers). Sounds like Revotec is not one to consider.

Did you decide to put it in? I am also considering it. It is a fairly new product line so not any reviews I could find. I also like the look. Waterproof is my biggest consideration.

Hi Michelle, We just had the floors installed yesterday. Looks very nice but obviously we dont know how durable/ scratch-proof. They look like real tiles from afar. I'll try to post some pictures. Good luck

Hi. Sorry for the delayed response. We’ve had the Revotec floor for about a year now - no complaints whatsoever. Scuff marks are easily cleaned off with a wet paper towel or soft sponge. We haven‘t seen any dings, scratches, or gouges but we don’t have pets and we don’t wear shoes in the house. And w the current quarantine situation, we also don’t have many guests over. We use floor protectors in the office bc of the rolling desk chairs. So it’s hard to assess durability. But overall, we are very happy with the floor. Hope this is helpful.

2023- I am considering Revtec flooring. "Pietra" . They have a "Ceramic Bead" finish over the wear layer. I took a sample home and tried to gauge it with a ball point pen and a sharp pencil. I was able to scrub it clean. I do this test with every floor sample I get -and this is the only one that the stains were completly removed. Not sure if they changed it since the reviews from 2-3 years ago. Anyone wish to share more comments?

Please do a rub test with socks or an old pair of pants. There is someone on here who has gone on a massive search of an LVT that doesn't wear out her socks. She even posted test videos on You tube showing how destructive some of the new coating is.
