Hi there! It depends on what the design style of your home is. If it's modern/contemporary, tile, but if it's traditional/transitional I would go with wood. Hope this helps!

So many factors we're not aware of here but generally wood never dates & tile always dates.

Our clients almost always have wood in their entryways.

"Looks more grand" comes from the HOME and the ENTRANCE that you are working with. A stunning marble floor with mosaic inlay would be lost in a 500sf cabin. A bare-bones wood floor (narrow strip 2" wood plank) in an foyer that is 500sf with a cathedral ceiling and a curved grand staircase and 10ft ceilings would be a bit of a downer.
