Hi Ashley! Your space is so pretty, you've done a great job so far decorating! I would suggest two things for this wall:

1. 3 large vertical panels of abstract art

2. A gallery wall with a combination of photos and art.

In addition to having that other piece of furniture, bring in some greenery, that will also help to minimize the space. A snake plant or a fiddle fig leaf tree (one on each side of your credenza) would go perfect with what you have going in here. And just as a side note, a cute runner between the back of the sofa and that credenza would look nice.

For a different look, you could try putting the credenza behind the sofa, with a lamp, then

large art on the wall. Or a book case.

Maybe it's my clumsiness but I'd want something fairly shallow on that wall if I needed storage (15" deep or less). Otherwise, colour can "fill" a wall. A mural or art as mentioned above would be fun options.

My first thought was a row of étagères with interesting details. Perfect spot for coffee table books and some interesting objects. Can get pricey as an option though. And I'd need to "curate" the display, otherwise it could easily look cluttered.

A low-budget option could be a graphic wall created with paint. There are even some geometric wall stencils for this purpose.

A piece of oversized art in colors and subject you like is all you need to add interest and style to your room. Many online art sites sell oversized or paired piece. Have no idea what your taste is but here are some art works in blues and rust that would echo your rug. But you could also go a lot bolder. Etsy, All Posters both carry oversized piece.

I also agree to putting lamps on the furniture piece behind the sofa. Curtains would also help break up some of the paint. Let me know how it goes and if I can help you any further!

The space looks great! I see most suggestions are similar to what I would suggest. I personally love one oversized piece of art, the bigger the better for a real statement! Go big or go home!

I love the idea of a wallcovering that adds some texture behind the art piece as well.

I think finding some pillows to pull some of the colors from the piece you find will tie it all in. :)
I think if the piece is more linear and less tall, having a nice console table underneath will add a nice touch.
