First off: Cambria's Skara Brae is such a fantastically bold choice! Very exciting!

For the perimeters I think my inclination would be to go with a virtually non-patterned slab - although possibly the Ironsbridge is a light enough pattern to not compete (picture attached below). I would definitely go to Cambria and look at them side by side. Another thing to think about, is how the two counter tops will relate to your back splash and ultimately your paint choices

Thank you for your thoughts. Very true - I've seen small cuts of each of them, but not yet side by side. My hope is to base our paint color and backsplash off of the counter tops - I'd like to pull colors from the veining. Room color will most likely be a neutral, perhaps even a cream. Still very undecided on the backsplash!

I agree that you want the island to be the showpiece and nothing should compete with it. A plain white surface would be best and I would also suggest plain white tiles for the backsplash. Wood floors and Persian area rugs in warm colors would ground your scheme beautifully.

I was just at a Cambria showroom (where they have entire slabs) and asked the same question as the original poster. The salesman suggested Ironsbridge. When put next to each other, they did not clash at all. Please let us know what you decided and how it looks.

We are getting closer...drywall install is nearly complete, so cabinetry and counters will be coming before I know it. I'm still committed to Skara Brae, and I think I'm going to go with Ironsbridge after all - I've looked at them side by side and just love the combo. We are still doing off-white shaker cabinets - island will be black/dark charcoal - gold hardware, gold faucets. I have it perfectly laid out in my mind, just hoping it comes together. I will definitely post pictures once we have them.

Countertops - we are waiting for a quote back and I’m afraid it will be 50k in quartz 😂

Looks beautiful, I’m using Skara Brae can I ask what color you painted your kitchen? I am having a very hard time with what interior paint color to use.

We went with Sherwin Williams Oyster White! Not pictured in these pictures but I’ll snap one. It contrasts well with the white trim and white of the cabinets

I am torn between skara brae on the island (thas definite) over maple slate island cabinetry (also definite) When i walked out of the kitchen store, i had softly committed to everleigh for the perimiter but continue to lament about how much I love ironsbridge and did they actually sit well together. Im so torn and like another poster that said hard time comnitting. Please state choice of either everleigh or ironsbridge with skara brae island. Better yet, if youve used them together please post your result! The perimeter cabinets will be painted oat, the appliances are GE cafe . matte white and will be using champagne bronze hardware/sink . Thanks!!
