I don't know why you say the photo isn't very good - it's so sharp I can see each hair on these bitty babies! Isn't it interesting that several show variegation - I'd love to see more as they grow up. (And btw, it's good to see you posting once again!)

Thank you, Anne. I meant the photo is a little grainy and off color but it's due to my being lazy and snapping the shot with my phone instead of my real camera. ;)

Most likely the variegation is either damage (even if it does't look like damage to me) or some quirk that won't last. Simply because we /know/ variegation comes from the mother plant. Still, the variegated plants we do have came from /somewhere/ recessive so ... my fingers are crossed.

I will keep an eye on them and see if the variegation is still there in a month, 6 months, etc. This could be an unexpectedly exciting cross or a disappointing dud.
