Do you need to do blinds or could you do another type of window treatment?

Can you take pics? There are lots and lots of alternatives to vertical blinds :)

You can do roman shades but waht do you need from the window coverings? Heat control, sunlight, a little more info would help.

We replaced ours with a Levolor banded shade. We custom ordered through Lowes. I'll try to get a picture for you later today. We used the same type of shade on a large window in our entryway. It's motorized and operated by remote. You can choose the same for the slider, but we have kids who we thought might not have the patience to wait for the motor to raise the blind.
