This is one that was in the house when we purchased, I would like to keep it but may decide later to update it as well. I keep it because it tied in the black entry way one.

The black orb looks visually busy against the arched, divided-light entry doors. Since you want to keep the slimmer candle-arm chandelier shown in the adjoining room, I'd look at a simpler open lantern or restrained four-light candelabra in an aged-brass finish, perhaps with a small black detail to relate to the doors. That would connect the rooms without making the fixtures identical, and let the arch remain the focal point. I'd skip another crystal orb or heavily layered fixture in this spot. Before choosing a model, measure the entry ceiling height and the lowest comfortable point over the walking path, then compare the new fixture's diameter and overall drop with the current one. A photo taken from the adjoining room toward the entry would help judge how much of both fixtures is visible at once. Do you know those dimensions?
