I need help with this orchid!

I recently purchased this phalenopsis orchid from the grocery store because I noticed it was really struggling. I cut off all the dead roots and repotted it in a more appropriate medium. There are blooms on it, but the leaves look rough.

I’m unsure of what to do next. What are my next steps?

Unfortunately when you have rot like that at the crown of the plant it is almost always fatal. Wild guess here that the plant was wrapped in cellophane with the leaves pointed up, it was watered from above and the water sat in the crown causing rot.

It still might flower, there's an outside chance it will make an off shoot from the base or a new plant could grow from one of the nodes on the spike. I would keep it warm and humid if possible, water when the bark is dry and keep water off the leaves.

Thanks James! Yeah, this orchid didn’t look too good in the store, so I wasn’t sure if it would survive or not. Even if it does die, at least I can say I tried. Anyways, should I just leave the leaves and spikes for now? Or remove them?

Leave it as is. Enjoy the blooms and then when it collapses, throw it away. Crown rot is fatal.
