Wall to wall or panels?

I read at on this designers site https://www.jillianharris.com/how-custom-drapes-complete-your-space/- to go wall to wall drapes if there is just a few feet on either side.
We are thinking of removing the shades and getting 100% linen drapes in the colour oyster. We have painted this room in the colour "cloud cover" by BM. This will be my 4 year old sons room.
What do you think - wall to wall - yes or no
