I’ve had 3 different AVs form babies from the roots something I had no idea they did! The first is a young plant newly potted who is determined to sucker. I pulled off 7 from the usual place, in between leaves attached to the stem. About 2 weeks later, that little baby on the right popped up. It appears to have come from the mother plant’s root.

The second picture is O. Modesty with a baby popping up from a root at the edge of the pot. I planted this one and just took it out of the plastic bag it was in. Maybe being the casual grower I am, I did not know AVs did this.
