And I have several on order this spring that should be pretty yellow: Faith, Marilyn, Tickle Me Pink, Country Sun Drop.

Paradise Power is in the garage... hopefully it comes back this year and puts on a good show.

I need more yellows and the ones I have need to grow up more and they need a bit more sun - do I sound needy to you? Appletini in the middle of a couple of Apple Candys

Does apple green count as yellow? Do they have to be solid yellow for this thread? Where are the rules man! We gotta have some rules here . . . or not. Afterglow on the left, Goodness Gracious on the right.

Fog Light - have I mentioned how much I like this one?

No pictures, but I’ve got some coming too. Effervesence, Saketini, Susanna, Chiquita, Biscuits N Honey and Country Sun Drop. Hey windymess, great minds think alike, right? Looking at a few more too. Added several blues and dark greens last year and need to sprinkle in some yellows. It may be awhile before I can plant tho...

    it is

it takes 3 years or so to see the rippled edge. Eventually it will get very large. some of the older yellow Montanas just wouldn't grow

eventually there will be sports in tc. I think a green edge on golden falls would be a real looker

this was the cutest thing ever..a Blue Mouse Ears with yellow fall color..

I planted Dancing Queen by Faith in hopes as DQ went green Faith would turn yellow. I suppose it worked, but I'll try to get some better pics this year. End of May:

Nice to see all these pretty yellows on a cold March morning. I saw my first Bluebird of the season today, poor misguided birdie. It was around 6 degrees at that time

I wanted to show off Coast to Coast but shade and my phone produced a green picture.

It started to show it's true form last season and I'm looking forward to it's appearance this year.

    Here it is anyway.

Dave, is this closer to what the colours should be? I’ve adjusted the white balance based on the white edges of the Hosta in the back.

I don’t have too many yellows, Dawns Early Light does seem to fit the bill, although it greens up a bit as the season progresses. A lot of lovely hosta here but to my eye a lot of them are Lime or light green. I have Sea Dream and wouldn’t call it yellow here. I have to take more photos this season and do my best to capture the true colors.

Sherry..I hear what you're saying..steve mentioned this too..when they emerge my Fire Islands (everyone else's too) are quite yellow but they do turn lime green..I consider Fire Island my only "yellow"..of these pics these are the ones that look the most yellow to me..Saija's Tickle Me Pink and Chiquita..steve's Night Shift..on steve's multi colored Appletini the yellow stands out next to the green..sunnywood's Designer Genes..mbug's Dancing Queen and Marrakech..beth's Cracker Crumbs and Dave's Cracker Crumbs sport..several variegated ones have bright yellow bits..fortunately I love the lime green that replaces the yellow too :-)

Yes Sherry I try to avoid viridescent ones but sometimes they are nice enough/have redeeming features like Dancing Queen or Dawn's Early Light. Placement plays a role too I think since your DEL only greens up a bit.

Appletini is on the viridescent list too but I have mine in a fair bit of sun and it greens up a bit late season. Lemon Lime I don't mind because it is covered in blooms by greening up time. All my others either stay yellow or are on the lutescent list. I often refer to Don Rawson's lists when making choices.

Lol nicholsworth shows what a slow typist I am, your post was not up when I hit submit.

peren..Lol!!..I am the world's slowest everything - typist, gardener, cook etc..to SAVE time I hand wrote a note with hosta and owners names before I typed that comment!..my Gardenweb time is an exercise in inefficiency haha..but I'm retired and I don't care..

Trying one more time. Not sure if these all qualify as yellow but in answer to Steve, my first rule is 'there are no rules'!
