Master Suite finishing touches help (drapes, pillows, rugs)

Hi, looking for help or suggestions to add some pizzazz (color?) to our Master Bedroom. Up until now we've piece mealed everything in the room as money and time allowed, and IMO have ended up with a very neutral/drab feel. Primarily looking for finishing touches on drapes, accent pillows, and possibly rugs to help tie everything together based on what we already have. Budget is a factor, but willing to spend a little extra if it's the key to making a "wow" factor. Also welcome to any other decorating/design suggestions (furniture placement, wall décor etc) Thank you!

You've done a really nice job. Frankly, I think a bedroom should be a little...not blah, maybe...but serene. I also wonder who decided people needed or wanted master suites that were as large as great rooms, though it looks like you've made good use of yours.

I'm really not going to be of much help here. If you really want color, consider adding a bit in some art, either over the bed or in place of the horse painting, and then use the colors in that to inform a couple of pillows and throws. I could see adding something in a dusty blue here.

Right now it's a very impersonal space, with no hint of who is occupying it. It seems to want to be trendy and fashionable, but when you go too far in that direction it lacks warmth and personality. I would think about what you want it to be rather than what you think it should look like. You might want to inject some color by replacing some of the pillows with more colorful ones to get away from the all-neutral look.

what would you add to make it look more personal? I wanted to add 4 photos frames behind the sofa, would that help?

We bought the horse painting on sale at Bassett, but now having trouble figuring which colors to draw from it (other than grey). We found out we're not huge fans of light blue (too soft and not vibrant enough for us). Trying to find the perfect dark grey-ish blue for accent colors, but no luck so far.
