Distance between table and bottom of art 12". I know this is a little high, but if I can make this size work, I will put some books and another object underneath to fill the space a bit.

What is the size of this room??? What do you mean by blue spots??? Is this going above the buffet table?? What is the size of the buffet??

console table size is in original post 30" high, 48" long...the blue spot in the middle marks 60" from the ground...I'd read that around there is the ideal height to center art, so this is a little low...thanks for your questions...did my photo not post in the first comment?

Caroline, 60" from the ground for the center of the art is good, but furniture against the wall factors in. In that case, the art shouldn't be too far above the furniture. It differs depending on whom you ask, but 6 to 8 inches above can be a good start. Actually your 12" in the photo doesn't look bad to me, especially if you fill some space. Not a pro but have learned from them here.

Also, the table looks low at 30". Seems the wall space above it could use two frames the same shape but a bit smaller...one over the other. Or maybe a grouping of four.
