Well, as a prospective guest, my first "want" is practicality, so a night table big enough for my glasses, a book and a clock. That one is a bit small. My second wish is for a room with some character - so art that has some color and meaning, not just "wall decor." Perhaps a few touches of color from the art in cushions, lampshade, rug or other decor in the room.

I think this room has plenty of potential but at the moment it's a bit bland, so why not liven it up just a bit?

it's hard to tell your colors from the photo, and my screen might make them different than they actually are, but from what I'm seeing, maybe a dark, deep purple would make a good accent color?
