My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

All of my various clones of H. niger are now in bloom and a good number of H. foetidus and H. xhybridus ( This is essentially all the so-called 'Lenten Rose' group). The H. niger plants are quite late for this year as Nov. - Feb. is more usual. This is predicted to be start of a warmer week here, so I'll be going out to trim off the old foliage for a better bloom presentation.

    Lucky for you...my hybrids were starting to bloom in January, then got blasted twice with 5-7F polar vortexes and destroyed (more or less). It is horrible, since you know that the show is over till next year (no rebloom).

    I envy you the nigers, because it doesn't thrive here (rare to get to live).
