I took a peek at the migration map, and it appears your birds are among the leading edge of sighting reports. And that reminds me, I need to go out and refill one of my feeders.

We just got a new hummingbird feeder in the mail. Can't wait to see if they will come to it. We love hummingbirds. Where do you place your feeders?

That's good news. Turk's cap remained evergreen, flame acanthus is leafing out and second-year standing cypress is taking off like a rocket. Here's hoping the aerial acrobats enjoy a bountiful harvest.

One showed up here at the columbine yesterday. Little black-headed fella. I shall put out my new feeders! Got some at the dollar store since they will actually open up for cleaning. I hate that the well-made feeders are so hard to clean.

My first male hummer showed up on the 13th, first females on the 16th, first monarchs on the 14th. I’m in southern Coam County. Last year, the first hummer was on the 7th.

Saw the first one of the season in my yard yesterday. During a rain downpour, I saw her perusing the lilac. It is one of the few things in full bloom right now. As soon as this Seattle-like weather passes, I'll put up a feeder!

We love Hummingbirds! Great time of the year to see so many of them.

Haha, gardengal...okay, maybe I should have said Pittburgh-like weather. It was 50-ish gray, rainy all day. Very unusual for us. And now I'd have it back if I could. It snowed off and on all day today and we are under frost warning for tonight. I feverishly covered what I could yesterday. We shall see.
