I would do a marble-look tile on the floor and shower floor so that every hair and speck of dust doesn't show. Typically the traditional small tiles like hexes are used on the main floor and the shower floor so I wouldn't use a different tile, especially not plank. Look for a hex that is mostly white. You could do a white or marble-look counter to compensate for the loss of some of the white on the floor.

Thank you Mayflowers. Have you seen any marble-look hex tile that actually looks like marble? I'd considered that at one point but the few options I've found so far in tile or big box stores look fake and/or pixelated in person. I've thought about ordering samples of marble-look hex tile I've found online but most of those also look very white with a just few random "swooshes" here and there... not greyish like real marble. Maybe I'm not looking at the right sources but I'm definitely open to that idea.

What about Crossville's State of Grace which has a 3x3 hex? ccwatters posted some progress pics of their bathroom using this tile. I rather like it. Best to look at a sample though because on Crossville's website it looks a little yellowish/off-whitish.

dawn5 - Thank you for linking to ccwatters' photos! Oh my gosh, is that beautiful. Definitely an inspiration but the only place I can find any price for State of Grace hex is in a comment on one of her posts and it's over $22/ sq ft - more than twice the cost of the plain 2" white hex. Not sure if I could go up that much in flooring budget to do the whole bathroom. :(

I would do Modern, wood finish, light wood flooring vanity.

We put a porcelain hex look-alike marble in our girls' bathroom. Here it is after it was grouted. It came from Floor & Decor. Even though it doesn't look exactly like marble (it's a bit creamier in color), after it was grouted, it looks very nice IMO. I bought one sheet and asked my tile pro to grout it before deciding.

I agree with the poster above who suggested you put together an idea book. All white bathrooms can look really nice and clean. I think the plank style is going to be dated very soon if not already.

Beanish - That's gorgeous!! Couldn't find much info on their website or find it at other retailers, but I'm guessing since it's glass, it's maybe not suitable for shower floors or wet surfaces?

ssdarb - Thank you for that recommendation! We don't have a Floor & Decor near us but I like that enough that I may order a sample and have it shipped if it looks like it would be a good option. Does it not look too "fake" or pixelated in person or up close? That's what kept me away from some of the big box store fake marbles. And is it 1" or 2" hex?

I do need to put together an idea book but I get hung up on trying to find the PERFECT bathroom that's exactly what I want and would work with our small space and I haven't found that. I think I need to remember that it's an idea book and not a commitment. :)

The Floor & Decor one is 2" hex. I can tell that it is not real marble, but I can't see the pixels. I was able to see the pixels in some of the other ones I looked at. This one is creamier than the whitest of whites like Cararra.
