I installed a front door and I'm trying to figure out a way to finish the trim. We set our first boards flat with the stucco, and we want the put wider trim on top to overlap the exterior by a few inches. The exterior stucco bulges out on the lower left and we're trying to find ideas for how to get around that. The only idea that we have is to fabricate a wood piece to go underneath it so the top board is flush with the fabricated wood and can be nailed in without the trim splitting. Any ideas would be much appreciated.
