Can you re-purpose the old interior space to something more functional? I would replace the old front door with a window and siding below. I would remove the steps and the awning on the small window.

It is a small foyer, so we could still use the closet space, but the rest would be wasted. Its a 4x8 walkway

I agree also with huntingflower, but I think that internally if the space could be best used without a window where the current door is, you wouldn't need one there unless you wanted it. For example, if a small office space or reading nook would fit in there, and might be more useful. 4x8 is bigger than you might think, if all the wall space isn't eaten up with doors and windows. A floor plan would be really useful to envision your space. Even if the stone from the patio isn't enough, you could always continue the siding that is on the front of that portion of the house, wrap around and terminate the siding at the stone chimney, and I think it would look nice, possibly even more cohesive.

That space could become part of the room behind the closet or a small office. I only suggested putting a window in to replace the bulk of the door opening, since it is already framed. But you don't really need to put a window there.

I don't see how you could remove the porch without ruining the stone on the chimney. I think you'd be opening a huge can of worms. It would look better, but would it really be worth it?

What about removing the steps and adding a wrought iron railing around the porch so it looks like a little sun deck? What is the room directly behind the closet? Could the current entry and the room behind it be combined?

It's hard to say without a sketch of your floor plan, but that could be pretty nice...a larger bedroom with a "private" deck. You could add some privacy and camouflage the base of the deck through landscaping. I can't do a mock up but maybe someone else can

Without the new entry, your garage sucks all the curb appeal out of your home. Move the entry and change the current front door into a window to match the others. Is the closet just for coats? How would it do to open that up and put the closet at the end with the little window in it? We'd have to see the floor plan to see if that is a viable option. Trying to eliminate that skinny hallway.

I'm thinking I would turn that entire hallway and closet into a WIC for that bedroom. Then steal the regular closet space there to expand that bathroom
