How to remove silicone residue from Tile and Marble

In the process of removing/replacing silicone caulk around my shower. For the left over silicone residue, I hear mineral spirits or denatured alcohol. Would it dull the finish of the tile and would it be safe to use on porcelain and marble? Or would soap and warm water be the way to go?

Vinegar, WD-40 or Alcohol will make it easier to remove but you always need to use a razor blade and just scrape it. Try to get the most of it off with the blade and then use a paper towel with some vinegar to rub off the tiny fragments. A vacuum helps to remove the tiny particles.
