Which Dining Chair for Beach Condo?

last modified: 7 years ago

Good morning designers, I’m super excited to be updating our beach condo dining room and have ordered a gorgeous table that seats our large group of 12, but now am frozen over the chair decision! Family info -most of the year there‘s only 3 adults eating and the other 9, including 3 small grandkids visit 5-6 times a year and the grandkids eat at a kids table. The totally upholstered chair comes with a performance tweed but the seat-only upholstery chair is done in a non-performance linen. Open floor plan and dining room is located right next to the black and white kitchen (bottom picture) and we only have a large dining area with bar; no eat-in kitchen. Is the white chair with rush seat too casual/kitchen-like for the table and dining area or would it brighten the space? The gray wash stain on the other three chairs matches the dining table exactly. Also wondering if I should do wood-only chairs along the sides and upholstered for the ends only, instead of the same chair for the whole table to add interest and decrease stress over spills on the upholstery. First chair is here, didn’t realize you can only post two pics per post so putting the other chairs on my next post...Thanks so much!!
