Hi Everyone,
I have two Tulsi seedlings growing from seed, which I planted about a month ago. One is growing as expected, two new leaves at a time, with about an inch or so of stem vertically from one set of leaves to the next. Well, maybe it's a little on the leggy side. HOWEVER, the other Tulsi seedling seems to not be growing vertically AT ALL, it's only about 1/2 inch tall. Just one set of leaves on top of the next. And it even looks like there are two sets of leaves, almost as if it's a conjoined set of twin plants.
My question is -- is this something that happens sometimes with Tulsi, or basil in general? Is this considered to be a fortuitous occurrence that will produce an extra-bushy plant, or should I get rid of it as a mutant that will fail to thrive and/or should not be ingested?
Thanks,
YS
