I posted a inquiry in a different thread which I can't find....so it's a rehash of the topic.

On a couple of my new BR I received, some of the ancor roots were a easy 2 feet long.

I have one area which I am contemplating adding roses, but 10 feet below or so is my DWV, which any water feeding source likes to find it's way in ;-)

Eon's ego, when I was removing roses from the garden *old established bushes* , I felt like I was digging down to the earth's core. I gave up after around the 24-36" deep dig and just cut the roots off with a lopper.

In seeing how these BR roses arrived with 2 feet long anchor roots, I'm just revisiting the questions again. I suppose the answer may differ depending on rootstock and whether it is just all fiberish or not ? <rose noob here>
