We have been using the Polaris model 280 for many years. It uses a separate booster through a dedicated line to power it up.

It's based on their original model 180 which came out over 40 years ago. We tried the model 380 when it first came out, but prefer the 280 - it's a reliable unit. About the only wear items are the tires and the tail scrubber. I would purchase 2 bags so they can be switched out when cleaning.
