I️ am trying to water some seedlings in pots by keeping them on capillary matting while we are on vacation. Problem is, I can’t even get the matting to soak up the water! What am I doing wrong? I bought this from Gardener’s Supply -it had great reviews. It’s been sitting in this water for 2 hours, hasn’t soaked up any water.
