I've just purchased this sideboard and can't decide if I should keep it or return it. I love the piece, but it just seems too large and bulky for the room and/or table. My table is standard 30" height, and the sideboard is 39". My dining room is fairly small, 10'x12'. The wall to the left of the table is a blank slate, but the room looks completely unbalanced with the sideboard on that wall. I've included photos both with and without the end chair. Is there a way to balance the bulk of the sideboard with the rest of the room. Obviously, I need artwork, rug, pops of color, etc. Will that help, or is it better to just return the sideboard? Buy another table? (Don't mind the missing black chair - it's in another room at the moment). Decorating gives me fits of anxiety, so opinions are welcome!
