There is plenty of discussion on this subject if you search. I like induction for power, quick response, easy wipe down, safety and no waste heat.

I did at the end of last year. No cons so far for me. It's a breeze to clean, water boils so fast, I can place items like wooden spoons right next to the pots, and I'm not worried about the kids burning down the house or accidentally leaving the gas on.

I do not like the buzzing that can occur. Realize though that people have different sensitivities to buzzing, and many people don’t hear it at all. Some people say it has to do with your cookware, but I have very high-quality cookware - even with All-Clad and Le Creuset, I heard buzzing. Some people say buzzing actually has to do with the wiring in your home. There is no consensus, but my last home’s induction cooktop had buzzing, and what a relief it was to move into a home with gas, and also I like seeing the flame. I just like it.

People on here love induction, so this is a very individual thing, and no one can really tell you whether you will love it or not.

Most people here are very pro-induction. I'm sticking with my ancient gas range. I don't want anything as potentially delicate as that glass top in my kitchen.

I love my induction. Aside from the fact that it cooks quickly and well, the huge bonus for me is how easy it can be cleaned. No scrubbing needed ever. A shot of windex, swipe with a towel, and done!
