Please help identify

Please help identify some trees I saw in Japan:


A) A beautiful tree with a very nice smooth bark and strange looking seeds.


B) A small tree with very small seeds.



C) I don't have a photo of a grown up tree, but these trees were quite tall.



I would be very thankful if someone could identify these trees, especially the first one.

    Based on the bark and leaf color, I'd guess Stewartia pseudocamellia for the first. Not absolutely certain as this tree produces flowers individually, not in clusters as the groups of seed pods would suggest.
