Feathers is the way to go.

Lambswool. I had a microfiber duster and found it didn't do a very good job on dust in general and threw it out. I love my lambswool dusters, I got all of mine from the Wool Shop. I have a few of various sizes/shapes, the one that I really like is the one on a long handle with a pivoting head, it makes dusting the baseboards a breeze. I also have Swiffer, I rotate between those and the lambswool. What I don't like about the Swiffer is (a) the recurring cost, and (b) the plastic holder part banging into things, have to be careful not to scratch things. But I still do use them occasionally.

I like my swiffer or vacuum for high to reach places. Otherwise i just my microfiber cloths. slightly slightly damp so they pick up any dust that i missed when i did a once over with the dry cloths.
