Considering how often you'll need to change/wash crib sheets, why not get all 3?

what they said. I had/have about 6-7 crib sheets, plus a couple that are a warmer material. One jersey knit and one minky type for colder months. Also did the layering, although that came most in handy in the night during potty training time. But still was nice on laundry days when I was tired and be so happy at the surprise sheet already on there :)

Even if you plan on using disposable diapers, it's good to have a supply of cloth ones to put under baby's head. The cloth diaper can catch spit-up, etc. and save you from having to change a sheet after a small urp. Also useful on your shoulder when burping.

Or when you're out of disposable diapers haha. Because that does happen!

I had big plans to use cloth diapers but those fell by the wayside. However I was very grateful to have them multiple times when it turned out I had 1 diaper left at 10:00 at night. Plus they are so damn cute ;)

I also used the type they call tri-fold (like an old school cloth diaper/burp rag) and placed them on the changing pad. Bc that pad cover will get poop on it. a lot. I had a couple covers but it was so much easier to replace the cloth diapers than wash the pad covers constantly.
