Ensuite design help

I'm building a new home and the current ensuite design layout (see first picture) does not meet my needs. I'd like to eliminate the dual entrance from the master bedroom down to one entrance and add a door. I'd like the shower to be in the corner of the bathroom, not in the middle. Builder has redesigned the ensuite (see second picture) but it now looks like too much wasted space in the middle of the bathroom. Does anyone have a better design layout? what are your thoughts on the sinks at opposite ends of the bathroom? Thanks in advance for any comments and advice!

    What are your "needs"?

It is difficult to satisfy one's needs when they are unknown.

Move the shower into the bottom left corner of the bathroom, increasing its size significantly. Move the sink that it replaces to the right wall, creating a long vanity with storage between the sinks. Keep the toilet and the tub where they are located. Eliminate the door on the left and keep the door on the right.

Living and designing in NYC, having a bathroom that is too big doesn't seem like a problem to me, but here goes:

I agree the shower should be relocated. And should be larger. So should the water closet. The shower can be super luxurious and near a window. I am assuming the toilet cannot be relocated because of plumbing issues (?). Here is a plan that might work for you and some inspiration pics.

Not really sure of your style, so here's some ideas.

Mark Bischak, Here's what I'm wanting:

One entrance from Master Bedroom to Ensuite (can be single or double door)

    Larger shower area

    Water closet

    Dual sinks

    Freestanding tub

The builder re-designed the ensuite layout but I'm not in love with it and I'm reaching out for other ideas. Thank you!

Denise, Thank you for your time and advice! The layout you suggested is on par with what I'm looking for. I did not think of having a window in the shower! One question in the shower area with the layout you provided: What wall would you have the shower fixture? Thank you!

Place the bedroom at end for windows on three walls, entrance shown by arrow.

Place the seven foot wide closet, with a small window at the end, next to the bedroom, entrance shown by arrow.

Place the bathroom as shown with a single door entrance.

Do not enter closet directly from bathroom.

    No gas chamber.

Don't let the builder design the bathroom.

Happy to help! Since it it such a large bathroom, having a symmetrical design would enhance the space. The shower wall common with the sink vanity should be a solid wall to the ceiling (like the wc wall) and the shower controls on that wall. You could add an additional bench under the window.

Don't know if you are on the first floor, which in such case an exterior fenced garden outside of the bathroom would be lovely. If you need more privacy, here's some ideas for the water closet and shower.
